Family Camping Trip

We are heading to DAR State Forest for an overnight camping trip.  This is an awesome location for family fun with a lake to swim in and many hiking options.  Campfires are allowed so it is an excellent place to introduce your kids to s'mores if they are not already experts.

This trip will take place the weekend of Saturday 8/10-Sunday 8/11.  

However, when you come and go is up to you.  Feel free to just join us for a day trip or come for the whole weekend.  Some families that are more experienced campers are planning on joining from Friday night thru Sunday morning.

Please feel free to do whatever works best for you and your family.  The campground in only about 55 minutes away from Longmeadow so there is lots of flexibility in making your plan!

There is tons to do here!  We are planning on organizing some activities for the group but there are lots of things for you to explore with your family as well if that is not your thing:

Yes, if you are interested in joining us you need to make a reservation ASAP.  These locations fill up fast as the summer approaches.

Note: Many campgrounds, including this one requires a 2 night stay ($17/night) during peak season.  I will be reserving 8/9-8/11, please feel free to join us any time in there, even if it is just a day trip to the campground to come hang out and enjoy the outdoors.
